I want to buy a volleyball.?

I have always loved the sport and my mom is letting me try out next year (I’ll be a junior in High School) and I really need a ball. I have a deep trust in Mikasa balls but I don’t know which one to get. I don’t want to spend too much though. Please help me!!

Spalding balls work perfectly fine, and they are a good price. The school has balls, so why spend so much if you’re just trying out?

are volleyballs supposed to be hard when new?

i recently bought a mikasa vfc200 volleyball and i’m wondering if the leather is supposed to be hard when it’s new?

i compared my volleyball with the other volleyballs at school and the balls at school were really soft and bounced higher. i took a school ball and my ball and pushed my fingers against them and both the balls pretty much had the same air inside.

any help would be very much appreciated ;D

Yeah. It should be hard. It is just because it is new and hasn’t been worked in yet. Play with it and it will get softer. =]
