Have people stopped listening when others speak?
When I ask a sales clerk where women’s shoes are, she takes me to to housewares. In a restaurant, when I ask for a sandwich with NO MAYO, I still get it with mayo. When I tell a realtor I want a house in the country, I’m given an address of a house in a busy development. When I try to tell my doctor that I have a pain in my right ear, she says “Try keeping your weight off it for a few days.” Huh? Are people so inattentive or do they just have hearing problems from loud noises?

Yes you are correct. As a matter of fact, at our local McDonald’s (the very last time that I will go there) the manager thought not only that is appropriately to remain on her cell phone telling some person when she gets off work, she totally ignored the customer’s and their needs.
Needless to say, she totally screwed up three orders, then when I asked for my money back, she incredibly asked “Why?”
I answered that she had absolutely no people skills, and had no business being in the food service industry with her attitude, and complete inability to handle conflict resolution.
